Need to treat special person or
say thanks... then our Gift
Certificates are the perfect answer.
Okay so you haven’t been pampered at a spa before and you’re not sure what to expect... so we have put together a handy dandy guide to our Spa Etiquette to help you through the process from start to finish.
It’s really not as scary as you would think, and we would hate for you to miss out on such a wonderful experience. Believe us when we say that once you have enjoyed your first spa treatment you will be back for more!
Take your time. Peruse The Spa’s menu or have a chat with our Spa staff (they are there to help). Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Men - don't be afraid to try something new.
We recommend that you reserve your treatment time well in advance to avoid disappointment.
Keep your preparation to a minimum – don't bother shaving your legs before a message or cutting your toenails before a pedicure.
It’s best to enjoy a soak in the hot pools before your treatment, so you don't undo the therapists' good work. Entry to the Thermal Pools will cost an additional $12.00 per person.
And its a good idea to eat something before your visit as when you are relaxed your tummy tends to rumble and food should be the last thing on your mind.
Dress comfy. it’s not a day for elaborate hair-dos, high heels or tight, tailored clothes.. We won’t look twice if you arrive in your trackpants, with your hair out and no make-up on.
While lockers may be available for your use we recommend that you leave your valuables at home. We regret we are unable to secure jewellery and valuables in the Spa.
Arrive early on the day, at least 15 minutes before your appointment time. Its about you relaxing so don’t arrive at the last minute. Being relaxed will ensure that you get the most out of your treatment.
On arrival you will be given a soft, fluffy robe with complimentary slippers and head to a changing room.
If you are having a body wraps, body massages or water therapy treatment you will also be provided with some disposable underwear (sorry but it is comfy and offers suitable coverage). During the treatment, you will only wear the disposable underwear … please do not fret or be embarrassed, as all shapes and sizes visit The Spa so don't feel self-conscious.
We can’t say this often enough – relax and enjoy!
Don't feel obliged to talk to the therapist. Try to forget about the childen, your partner or work and let your mind roam. Focus on the scent of the product being used or think only of your treatment and how incredible it feels.
Once your treatment ends... again… relax
Take your time to getting up from your treatment table, your therapist will offer you a glass of water and help you put your robe back on if needed. Before getting dressed or leaving The Spa head back to the Spa’s relaxation room and take time to rest and reflect on how good you are feeling while enjoying a refreshing tea or water.
